Calvert County Board of Education Schedules Retreat

The Calvert County Board of Education will hold a retreat on Jan. 31, 2026, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in open session.

The purpose of the retreat is to provide a focused, strategic and reflective opportunity for the board to engage in discussions related to governance, planning and the direction of the school system. An agenda will be posted prior to the meeting and will be available at calvertnet.k12.md.us/BOEmeetings.

The Maryland Association of Boards of Education will facilitate the retreat.

A closed session to discuss personnel and administrative matters may be held immediately following the open session. The Board of Education of Calvert County may convene a closed session as permitted under the Maryland Open Meetings Act, Section 3-305(b)(1)(i) and (ii) and Section 3-103 of the General Provisions Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland.

The meeting will be held at the Brooks Administration Building, 1305 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland.
